Mark Lace, age 71, of Joliet passed away August 1, 2022. We know Mark is enveloped by the love of his life partner of more than 45 years, Renee Allegrucci who preceded him in death. Mark, a graduate of Thornton Township high-school and a student at Thornton Community College, was employed for many years at Marshall Fields flagship store, located on State Street in Chicago. Mark had the privilege of sharing many adventures with Renee, traveling the world, taking in plays, loving their dogs, and cooking together. To know Mark is to laugh with him over a good meal, wine, and have a great conversation. In retirement he could be counted on to create many works of art using mixed media or in spending time with friends. Per Mark's wishes cremation rites were accorded. He will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip. Donations may be made in Mark's honor to the Will County Humane Society.
