Matthew J. Bernas, age 66 passed away Sunday July 30, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Matthew is survived by his son Adam (Megan) Bernas; brothers James (Doris) Bernas and Edward (Jeanne) Bernas; sister Judith (Chuck) McMahon; grand-daughter Ashlynn Bernas; numerous nieces and nephews and faithful companions Aja and Buddy. Preceded in death by his wife Debbie (Blanchard) Bernas; parents Anthony and Stella (Komski) Bernas and an uncle Edward Komski. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:00 am. Burial will be Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11:00am at St. Casmir Catholic Cemetery in Chicago. In lieu of flowers donations to the family would be appreciated.
