Matthew C. Martincic, age 38, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

Survived by his parents, Gary (Lyn) Martincic; siblings, Tina (Matthew) Russell, Justin (Jennifer Clements) Martincic, and Stacey (Andrew) Loosen; nephews, Oliver, Parker, and Carson; aunts and uncles, Lawrence Martincic, Sharon Martincic, Larry (Rhea) Martincic, and Cynthia Nieb. Many dear cousins and friends also survive.

Preceded in death by his brother, James Martincic; grandparents; aunts and uncle, Pam Martincic and Betty (Andy) Andries; cousins, Kyle Martincic and Gene Andries.

Matthew liked to be with his friends, he enjoyed going to concerts, watching movies, playing video games, going fishing and watching sports. Matthew was very fond of the Cubs and Bears. Matthew always liked to dress casually and if you would like to join us in honoring Matt, please come dressed casual. In lieu of flowers to honor Matt a donation to either the ASPCA or American Cancer Society would please him. Matthew will be missed by all of his family and friends.

A celebration of life for Matthew will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60431 from 10:00 am – 11:30 am. Family and friends to share stories and memories at 11:30am. Per Matthew's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
