Merle R. Mau., age 44, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.

Survived by his daughters, Ashlyn, and Brooke Mau; ex-wife, Heather Mau; parents, Merle (Kathy) Mau; siblings, Josh Marlow, Chris (Zac Kovac) Mau and Jennifer (Randy) Dickens; Nieces and nephews, Cecelia, Cash, Quinn, and Fletcher. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends also survive.

Preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Merle was born on April 16, 1978, in Joliet, IL and he was raised in Channahon. Merle attended Minooka Community High School, class of 1996. He was a plumber by trade with the plumber's union, Local 130. Merle loved his girls very much and loved to spend time with them. He enjoyed attending their sporting events and was even there Soccer coach. Merle enjoyed boating, fishing, football, grilling and going to the Grundy County Races. He was a huge Chicago Bears fan. Merle will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services for Merle will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St. Joliet, IL 60431 on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 7:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until time of services. As it was Merle's request, cremation rites will be accorded following services. In lieu of flowers, donations to his daughters for their college funds will be appreciated.
