Michael J. Moats, age 24, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 26, 2020. Michael is survived by his mother, Charlotte Moats; his siblings, Donna (Scott) Dwyer, Johnny (Jen) Moats II, Jason Moats, Melissa (Nick) Hicks, Krystal (Wesley) Calderon and Tiffany (Ben) Hulbert; his longtime girlfriend, Tiffany Robson; his grandparents, Sharon (Paul) Deno, his aunts and uncles, Donna (Michael) Main, Jimmy Moats, Judy (Jim) Papuch, Kim Sandstrom and Sandy Moats; his nieces and nephews, Kaylee Hulbert, Andrew Hulbert, Sophia Hulbert, Jacob Hulbert, Ryan Frank, Kelsey (Curt) Hulbert, Danielle Dwyer, Juliana Moats, Johnny Moats V, Hayley Moats, Jayla Moats, Jay Moats, Jose Calderon, Madelyn Calderon, Emiliano Calderon, Chase Hicks, Nicholas Hicks and Avery Hicks and his great grandmother, Frances Sing. Many other dear family and friends also survive. Michael was preceded in death by his father, John Moats III; his brother, Glenn Wilson; his grandparents, John (Betty) Moats; his niece, Synthia Calderon; his nephew, Matthew Frank; his uncle, Dave Moats; his aunt, Diane Moats and his great grandfather, Victor Sing. Michael was born, May 2, 1995 in Joliet, IL. He was raised in Minooka, IL where he attended school at the Minooka School district. He had a passion for fishing and loved the outdoors. He was a big time Chicago Bears fan. Michael loved to hang out with his family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St. Joliet, IL 60431 on Monday March 2, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. As it was Michaels's request, cremation rites will be accorded following services. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the family will be appreciated.
