Mildred Kerr, nee Gross, age 92, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, with family by her side. Mildred is survived by her children, Francis Rick Kerr Jr., Timothy (Rose) Kerr, Patrick (Kathy) Kerr, Michael (Kelly) Kerr, grandchildren, Julie Hoover, Bethany (Phil) Eizenga, Philipa Kerr, Timothy Kerr, Rebekah Kerr, Katie (Paul) Fisher, and Anne Verbic; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Jonah, Coraline, Elliot, and Benjamin. Sisters Rita (the late James) McCord, Maxine (the late James) Green, and a brother, Matthew (Delores) Gross. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Francis R. Dick Kerr, by her father and mother, Bernard and Gertrude Gross; brothers Ed and Michael Mickey Gross; and a sister, Helen Goetz. A memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, July, 17, 2018, at 11:00 am at St. Ambrose Church, 1711 Burry Circle in Crest Hill, IL. Father Tom Cargo officiating. Visitation is at the church 10:00 am until time of Mass. Internment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery following the mass.
