Nancy L. Flory, age 87, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022.

Survived by her children, Robert (Bridget) Flory, Bonnie (Larry) Melland, and Barbara (Bill) Banks; grandchildren, Jennifer (Darren Lilke) Flory, Robert (Karla) Brown, Matthew (Heather Mitchener) Melland, Daniel (Cheyenne Orman) Melland, Bonnie Emery, Nicholas (Savannah Heller) Banks and James Banks; 9 great grandchildren and her sisters, Helen (Robert) Winkler and Susan Simo. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her granddaughter, Barbara Flory; great granddaughter, Allison Flory; father, Robert Moffett; mother, Helen Harvey and her brother, John Harvey.

Nancy grew up in Warrenville, IL and moved to Naperville, IL where she raised her family. She was part owner and operator of the Naperville Cab Company for a number of years until moving briefly to Golden Colorado in 1974. She returned to Naperville, IL in 1979 to be close to her family. She worked for the DuPage County Health Department until her retirement. She remained in the Naperville and Oak Brook Illinois area but enjoyed traveling and often took trips. She was able to take a trip to Moffat Scotland, a town named for her ancestors, which was one of the highlights of her life.

Memorial service for Nancy will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60431, on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 12:00pm. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until time of service.
