Paul J. Huettemann., age 71, of Channahon passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 3, 2024.

Survived by his wife of 39 years, Deborah Huettemann (nee Boedigheimer); children, Trevor (Ashley) Huettemann of Geneva and Vanessa (Bret) Bianchetta of Morris; grandchildren, Shelby, Gia and Cole; brother, Don (Cindy) Huettemann of Lincoln City, OR and sister-in-law, Linda Huettemann of Murray, KY.

Preceded in death by his parents, William and Edith May (nee Zenzen) Huettemann; brother, David Huettemann; uncle, Dave Zenzen, and his aunt, Joanne Zenzen.

Paul was born on August 26, 1952, in Peru to William and Edith Huettemann. He was a graduate of LaSalle Peru Township High School, where he was a part of the Elite 8 basketball team and was a tri athlete. Paul worked for over 30 years as a chemical operator for Stephan Chemical where he later retired. He enjoyed fishing, music, reading, visiting Civil War battle fields and spending many days at his grandchildren's sporting activities.

Memorial Service for Paul will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St. Joliet, IL 60431 on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 12:00 PM. Memorial visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of services. Per Paul's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the family would be appreciated.
