Phyllis M. Stone (nee Rowe), age 88, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2018. Survived by her son Craig (Peggy) Stone and daughter Teri Wood. Also her grandchildren, Lauren (Wesley) Robertson, Matthew Wood, Michael Wood, Nicholas Wood and two great grandchildren Hayden and Harper Robertson. Preceded in death by her mother, LaVerne Mertsoc; a brother Frank Mertsoc and her two sisters Ruth Garrison and Marge Angel. Phyllis was an employee of St. Joseph's Hospital until retirement after 22 years. The family would like to sincerely thank the Joliet Area Community Hospice for the care, comfort and compassion extended to Phyllis. Per Phyllis's request, cremation rites have been accorded. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements were handled at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W.
