Raymond L. Micou, age 60, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. Born on February 6, 1950 in Kosciuko, MS. Survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Linda (nee Hammons Myers.) Loving father of DeShandra (Albert) Dowling, Michael (Alicia) Myers, and Courtney Micou. Dear brother of Ralph (Diana) Micou. Proud grandfather of Jonathan, Vanessa, Albert, and Reece. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by his parents, Willie Roy and Annie Micou, brothers, Willie Elmoe Micou, and Clarence Micou, sister Beatrice Johnson. Raymond was a graduate of Kosciusko High School, Veteran of the United States Navy, and retired from the Joliet Housing Authority. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Family will receive friends on Friday November 12, 2010 from 11am-3pm at the funeral home. A funeral mass will follow at Sacred Heart Church, 337 S. Ottawa Street, Joliet at 4pm. Per Raymond''s wishes cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
