Richard F. Arnold, age 88 passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Lightways Hospice Home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Huntingdon Tennessee, November 8th, 1936.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Betty Lou Arnold; oldest son, Samuel F. Arnold Sr. (April 3, 2025) and oldest daughter, Janice C. Berg.

Survived by his children, Charles (Dora) Arnold, Betty Ann (Harvey) Swatsworth, Brenda (Terry) Light, Richard L. (Tammy) Arnold, Sarah (Steven) Halladay, and Debbie Arnold; son-in-law, Allen Berg. Blessed with 14 grandchildren and spouses along with 30 great grandchildren and his companion, Donna Redmon.

Though Richard is no longer with us, the love he shared and the memories he created will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He may have departed from this world, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral services for Richard will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until time of services. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Donations to Lightways Hospice will be appreciated.
