RICHARD L. SIMPSON

"Dick"

passed away peacefully at home on July 25,2024 at the age of 84.

Born and raised in Joliet. Graduated from Joliet Township High School, Class of 1958. He enlisted in the United States Navy was stationed in the Mediterranean. He was employed by the Joliet Post Office until his retirement in 1998.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (nee Boseo) Simpson; his sons, Richard (Sue), Mark and Steve Simpson; his grandsons, Andrew, Kevin, Nicholas and Patrick Simpson; One great grandson. Also surviving a brother, Donald (Marjorie) Simpson and by numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Preceded in death by a son Michael Simpson; his parents Henry and Frances Simpson and his father and mother in-law, Fred and Lorraine Boseo.

The family would like to thank Lightways Hospice for the great care Richard received.

In lieu of flowers donations to Lightways Hospice or Alzheimer's Association in his memory would be appreciated.

Private services were held at Farkas Funeral Home in Joliet under the direction of Richard J. Tapella (Funeral Director).

Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville.
