Richard C. Meadows, age 94, wonderful husband, father & grandfather, passed away peacefully at Alden Courts of Shorewood on January 13, 2019. Survived by his wife of 67 years, Frances Meadows; his son Chris Meadows; two grandchildren Jack Meadows and Nicholas Meadows and his daughter in law Lynn Meadows. Preceded in death by his parents, William (Mary) Meadows; his two brothers, Donald W. (Mary) Meadows and James G. Meadows. Richard was born May 10, 1924, in Washington D.C. He was a graduate of George Washington University and a post graduate of Catholic University of America and Pepperdine University. Served in the Army with the 463rd Air Service Squadron in the European Theatre from 1943-1946. He married Frances Bilskemper on November 21, 1951, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Charter membership in American Air Museum in Britain and Duxford, England. Member of the Moose Lodge #295, Belvidere, Illinois; VFW Post 9759, Loves Park, Illinois; YMCA retired Men's Club and St. Rita VIP Club. Private family services will be held.
