Rolland M. Ambrose Sr., age 88, passed away on Thursday November 3, 2021. Survived by his children, Rolland "Sonny" M. Ambrose Jr, Michael Ambrose, and Brian (Lisa) Ambrose; his grandchildren, Sean, Claire, Jayden and Micheala Ambrose. Preceded in death by his long-time companion, Jane Ficarella; his parents, Joseph (Marie) Ambrose Sr.; his three brothers, Joseph Ambrose Jr., Norbert Ambrose, and Clement Ambrose. Rollie was a lifelong Joliet resident. He attended Joliet Township High School and went on to Lewis College and earned his bachelor's degree in business administration. Rollie worked at Argonne National Laboratory for more than 30 years. He was a very clever, bright, and thoughtful man in his own way. Rollie loved all animals and made sure he fed the ones that visited him in his yard. He loved to grow his own catnip and bring it to his son's cat. Rollie will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until time of services.
