Ronnell L. Tafoya

(nee Baker)

Age 77years, passed away Thursday, February 20,2025 surrounded by her family and friends.

Ronnell was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will always be remembered as a caregiver to her family and friends. She was long-time member of Holy Family Parish in Joliet and St. Anne Parish in Crest Hill where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She is currently a member of St. Ambrose Parish in Crest Hill.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Ronnell F. Tafoya (2018); her granddaughter, Isabel Tafoya, her brother, Ronald Baker and her parents. Leonard and Frances (nee McCabe) Baker.

Survived by her loving husband, Luis D. Tafoya; her dear children, Ronnette L. Tafoya, Louie Tafoya and Dominic (Sarah) Tafoya; her dearest grandchildren, Miranda Tafoya, Olivia Tafoya, Dominic Tafoya Jr., Benedict Tafoya and Lucy Tafoya; her great-grandchildren, Alexavier and Noah; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends, Nancy and Winnie.

Funeral Services will be held from the Farkas Funeral Home (Richard J. Tapella, Funeral Director) 3201 West Jefferson Street Joliet, Illinois on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 9:15 AM to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1705 Burry Circle Drive, Crest Hill for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM.

Interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Romeoville.

Visitation will be held at the Farkas Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 3 to 8 PM.
