Rosalie M. Jostes (nee Michel), age 72, passed peacefully into the hands of our Lord at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Born August 5, 1949, in Freeport, IL, Rosalie loved her family deeply. She enjoyed collecting antiques and reading about history, especially the Civil War. Her passion for collecting dolls eventually led her to start a doll hospital, helping others preserve their childhood memories. Above all, Rosalie was a loyal daughter of the Catholic Church, living out the corporal works of mercy by serving her less privileged brothers and sisters at Hesed House. Preceded in death by her father, Anthony; mother, Cosimina; brother, Robert, and grandson Matthew. Survived by her husband, Philip; four children, John, David, Stephen, Catherine; sister Margaret; seven grandchildren, Tom, Patrick, Jillian, Autumn, Tony, Mason, Ava, and two great-grandchildren, Bella, and Alex. Visitation for Rosalie will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 303 W. St. Mary's Street, Minooka where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Per Rosalie's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following services.
