Samuel Gutierrez Jr., age 59, passed away peacefully on, February 5, 2021. Survived by his son, Brandon Gutierrez; his grandsons, Austin & Rylan, his mother, Carmen Hernandez; his father Samuel Gutierrez Sr.; his brothers, Mario (Dottie) Lopez, Fernando (Patricia) Lopez, Robert (Melinda) Gutierrez, Victor Gutierrez, David Gutierrez and Jerry (Patty)Gutierrez; his sisters, Aida (Willard) Gutierrez, Maria Franchini, Susan (Humberto) Salcedo, JoAnne (David) Campos and Carmen (Domingo) Contreras. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also surive that will miss him dearly. Preceded in death by his nephews, Christopher R. Salazar and Michael S. Anderson. Samuel was born in Joliet, IL in 1961 to Carmen Hernandez and Samuel Gutierrez Sr. He was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. Samuel served in the United States Army . Samuel was a very kind and loving person. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Per the family wishes, private services will be held.
