Shirley M. Rapka (nee Stark), age 81, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 22, 2019. Shirley is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert Rapka; children, Robert K. (Nancy) Rapka and Tammy (Richard) Iwinski; her four grandchildren Bobby (Kristi) Rapka, Thomas Rapka, Susan (Eric) Howland and Matthew (Bailey) Iwinski; five great-grandchildren, Cameron Howland, Evan Howland, Lilly Howland, Abbey Rapka and Vinnie Rapka; her sister Rose Shufro; her brother-in-law Frank Rapka and her sister-in-law May Rapka. Numerous niece and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her son Ricky Rapka; her parents Anton and Nina Stark; a brother Richard Stark and a sister Barbara (Earl) Sopko. Visitation will be held at the Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St. Joliet, IL 60431 on Monday, August 26, 2019 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
