Major Sonny Blackburn, retired from the U.S. Army, Age 80, passed at away on April 23, 2015. Beloved husband of Joan Blackburn and former husband of the late Alice Blackburn and the late Joyce Semprevivo. Loving father of Verda Tures, the late Edie (David) Swiercz, Kathy Blackburn and Michael Blackburn. Proud grandpa Sonny, of the late Michael, David (Ashley), Ben (Whitney), Katie and Sean. Devoted great-grandfather of Aaron and Emerson. Preceded in death by his dear brothers Chuck (Jean) and Thomas (Ann) Blackburn and his sister Jane (Troy) Marshall. Sonny touched the lives of many including his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 4:00-8:00PM. A Chapel Service will be held with Full Military Honors beginning at 7:30 PM. Visitation: Private Service
