Stephanie H. Krol, age 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at The Parc Nursing Home in Joliet.

Stephanie was born in Joliet, graduated from St. Thaddeus School and St. Francis Academy. She worked in the food services department at St. Joseph Hospital for 37 years, retiring in 2003. Stephanie enjoyed playing Bingo, doing word search puzzles and watching old TV shows.

Preceded in death by her mother, Stephanie (nee Stec) Krol in 1956, her father, John Krol (1989); stepmother, Dorothy (nee Keeley) Krol (2009) and several aunts and uncles.

Survived by her sister, Diane (nee Krol) Lewis; nephews, Jason and Ryan Lewis and numerous cousins.

The family would like to thank the staff at Salem Village Nursing Home, The Parc, and Lightways Hospice, especially, nurse Sarah, and CNA, Barbara and to Dr. Haveric and Ebony for the excellent care Stephaine received.

Per her request, there will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded with private services and inurnment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
