Stephanie Leon, age 54, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024.

Survived by her daughter, Bianca Leon Garcia; mother, Maria Garcia; God daughter, Rebecca (fiancé Moises Romero) Vazquez, aunts and uncles, Robert (Cookie) Aguirre, Armando (Lourdes) Aguirre, Jose (Maria) Aguirre, and Lupe Aguirre; nephew, Giovanni Romero. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends also survive.

Preceded in death by her uncle, Jesse Aguirre and her grandparents, Jose and Romana Aguirre.

Born on March 4, 1970, in Chicago, Illinois, Stephanie's vibrant spirit and warm presence touched the lives of all who knew her. Stephanie always dreamed of being a mother as she often said to her daughter that she was a gift from God and that God had brought them together. This deep sense of love and purpose formed the foundation of their unbreakable bond. Stephanie's unwavering support and guidance as a mother were the greatest joys of her life.

Those who knew Stephanie will remember her as a beacon of light in their lives. Her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she left behind. While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the countless memories she gave us. Stephanie's impact on our lives is immeasurable, and her spirit will continue to guide us.

May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Stephanie Leon will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on forever in the stories we share and the love we carry in our hearts.

Funeral service for Stephanie will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St. Joliet, IL 60431 on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 7:30 pm. Visitation will be held from 1:30 pm until time of service. As it was Stephanie's wishes request cremation rites will be accorded following services.
