Obituary

Vanessa Robertson, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on November 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Woodstock, Illinois, on March 31, 1948, she married Max Robertson on July 21, 1978, and together, they built a life full of cherished memories. Vanessa's kindness, grace, and unwavering love and devotion to her family will be dearly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.

Vanessa was known for her love for all animals, which led her to a long career as a pet shop manager and breeder of many types of dogs. Those who knew Vanessa most likely would leave with a new, loyal animal companion.

Vanessa is survived by her husband, Max; daughter, Karen (Rick) Allen, and their children Joe, Hollie, Audrey, Elliot, Mary, and Nathan; son, Doug (Beth) Robertson, and their child Alex; son Kevin (Penny) Kubaszak; son, Randy (Alison) Kubaszak and their child Cameron; son, Rodney (Amber) Robertson and their children Zach, Zander, and Gavin; Sean and Kendal Robertson; and granddaughter Kasey.

Vanessa is also remembered by her niece Susie (Tom) Wilson, and their children, Josh and Jayson; brother, Frank Foley Jr., his child Adrianna, and her brother-in-law Tad Robertson.

Preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Frank Foley, her sister Pat Shelby, her daughter Karla Smith, and her granddaughter Kara Smith, and her first husband, Kenneth Kubaszak.
