Vivian I. Reader (nee Lancaster) Age 81, of Joliet, formerly of Plano, IL., passed away on September 20, 2015 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL. She was born on December 7, 1933 to the late Joseph Curtis and Ruth (nee Castleberry) Lancaster. She retired from Western Electric (AT&T) plant in Montgomery, IL. She was a long time member of the Millbrook Methodist Church in Millbrook, IL. Vivian loved gardening and spending time camping and being outdoors. She loved playing Bingo, especially at the Senior Service Center in Yorkville. She was also an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed going to and watching races on TV. Preceded in death by her first husband J.D. Hively; second husband Kenneth W. Reader. Vivian is survived by her children, Nick (Pat) Hively of Channahon, IL. and Tammy (Robert) Jugiewicz of New Lenox, IL. Also her stepchildren, Jeanette (Craig) Eckhardt of Carmel, IN; Kenneth (Marcia) Reader Jr.; of Kennesaw, GA and Whitney 'Buddy' Reader of St. Simon''s Island, GA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister Marie (Gary) Forrester of Channahon, IL. and her brother Don (Janice) Lancaster of Oklahoma City, OK. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 3:00-7:00 PM. A Chapel Service will also be held on Thursday at the Funeral Home beginning at 7:00 PM. Pastor Kent Svendsen will be officiating. Per Vivian''s wishes cremation rites were accorded. Private burial services will be held at a later date.
