William L. Peters Jr., age 82, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Survived by his wife, Shirley Peters; his children, David Peters, Kathy (Dan) Babcock and Regina Peters; his grandchildren, Heather (Matthew) Steffens, Bradley (Stacey) Homberg and Josh (Katie) Peters; his great-grandchildren, Samantha, Tyler, Emily, Kate, Jack and Kyle; his great-great granddaughter, Myla; his siblings, Esther Range, Mary Lou (Larry) Milstead, Eugene (Janis) Peters and Rich (Pat) Peters. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death by his parents, William L. (Rovilla) Peters Sr. and his brother-in-law, Kenny Range. Bill was a hard worker no matter what the project was, and always looked forward to a challenge. He loved spending time with his family. If he wasn't with his family then he was cutting the grass at the church or tinkering with his tractors. He was a kid at heart who loved his desserts and will be missed by his family immensely. Funeral services for William will be held at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60431 on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 2:00pm. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until time of service. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
