Yunuen Pineda de Barrera, "Yuny", age 39 passed away on Tuesday December 12, 2023, at Evanston Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Survived by her parents; Daniel Pineda Maciel and Gaudelia Gonzalez Lopez; husband of 20 years Abraham Barrera; children, Ashley Barrera, Abraham Barrera, Isabella Barrera and Valentina Barrera; brother, Daniel (Julia Ballines de Pineda)Pineda and Antonio Pineda Gonzalez. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Yuny was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Skokie. She enjoyed her morning coffee, taking care of her many plants, exercising, singing karaoke, dancing at family parties and baking for her family. Yuny was a beautiful woman who always put her children, her husband's and her family's needs first, she will be remembered for being the life of the party, her bright smile, her gentle and kind nature, and her generosity towards others.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18 Woodlawn Ave., Joliet, IL 60435 on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will follow at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60431 from 3 – 7:00 PM. Family request no dark color clothing. Cremation will follow after services.

YUNUEN PINEDA GONZALEZ.-Edad 39 anos, fallecio el dia Martes 12 de Diciembre del 2023, en la Clinica de Evaston en los brazos de Dios y de su hermosa familia.

Dada a luz y vida por sus padres Daniel Pineda Maciel y Gaudelia Gonzalez Lopez, asi como estuvo casado por mas de 20 años con Abraham Barrera y hasta la eternidad, sus hijos Ashley Barrera Pineda, Abraham Barrera Pineda, Isabella Barrera Pineda y Valentina Barrera Pineda, de igual forma sus hermanos Daniel Pineda Gonzalez, Antonio Pineda Gonzalez, y su cuñada Julia Ballines, ademas de numerosos sobrinos. YUNY, miembro de la Iglesia Catolica de San Nicholas de Evaston, ella disfrutaba de varias actividades: tales como hacer su cafe por las mañanas, cuidar las plantas, hacer ejercicio, cantar en el karaoke, bailar, en las fiestas familiares, hacer postres para su adorada familia e infinidad de actividades de una mujer ejemplar, activa y de muy buenos valores tanto morales como educativos.- Yuny era una mujer hermosa que anteponia siempre a sus hijos como lo primordial en su vida, asi como su esposo y familia, ya que a sus hijos les dio una educasion ejemplar de amor y respeto para la familia y asus semejantes, ella siempre sera rercordadad por su gran sonrisa, generosidad, positividad, y tantos atributos que tenia Yunuen como persona, de las cuales no hay palabras para describir lo que ella logro ser y sera en nuestro recuerdo.

LA FAMILIA DE YUNUEN PINEDA GONZALEZ, CON UN PROFUNDO RESPETO INVITA A LA MISA DE CUERPO PRESENTE, TENDRA LUGAR EL MIERCOLES 20 DE DICIEMBRE DEL PRESENTE AÑO 2023, A LAS 11:00 DE LA MAÑANA, EN LA IGLESIA CATOLICA ST. PAUL EN JOLIET, POSTERIORMENTE EL MISMO DIA PARA QUE NOS ACOMPAÑEN EN LA SALA VELATORIA FARKAS, UBICADA EN 3201 W JEFFERSON ST. JOLIET IL 60431 de 3pm- 7pm.
